A certificate of conformity, also knows as COC document, is an official factory document of the vehicle. This document contains 52 technical details and has been issued to almost all European vehicles after 1996. The document has various names. The official term is a Certificate of Conformity, but is also called a CVO or birthcertificate. Make no mistake with the Certificate of Agreement which also had the abbreviation CVO.
