The German Zoll license plate is a German export license plate which is suitable for use after deregistration of a German vehicle. In addition, the license plate is also used for the temporary registration and insurance of unregistered vehicles.

To obtain a Zoll license plate, the vehicle must always be physically present in Apeldoorn, unless it concerns an original German vehicle, older than 3 years and with a valid German inspection report (TÜV).

The period of validity of the license plate is available in different variants, namely;

• 1 month
• 2 months
• 3 months
• 6 months
• 9 months
• 12 months (maximum)

The license plates are supplied as standard with a basic liability insurance that has coverage throughout Europe. You must be able to demonstrate at any time that you intend to import or export the vehicle.
